Invalid filter creation allowed within the new UI

Overview

You are running an early release of the Service Gateway v5.2 Beta and have noticed that no error message appears when saving policy filters with missing required fields. When you attempt to reopen the policy, an error appears preventing you from using or modifying them further, confusing your end-users.

 

Solution

This behavior was isolated to insufficient user input validation in the new HTML5 UI within the early releases of the v5.2 Beta. This missing functionality was finalized and included as part of the final release of Service Gateway v5.2 (5.2.0.0.305).

To resolve this behavior with the policies, please deploy the final version of v5.2 within your environment. See the version 5.2 release notes for installation instructions.
