SG GUI Not Loading After a Network Disturbance

Overview

ServiceGateway 4 (SG4) is running and having trouble reaching Adobe homepage to verify the version of Adobe Flash. As this is the first step, SG4 GUI does during startup, the GUI stucks on loading icon because of not getting any response.

The problem also replicates in Firefox. Firebug in Firefox shows a 404 error (not reachable) when trying to log in to SG4 GUI:

Environment

  • Redhat Linux 6.3
  • Oracle 11g
  • JBoss 6.1.0
  • Apache 7.0.27

Root Cause

In this environment, Citrix proxy servers are used to access the SG web interface via a LoadBalancer. The cache holds the wrong information because of the network outage, as the SG GUI works fine when accessed bypassing the proxy server.


Resolution

To resolve the issue of cache, holding wrong information, clear it and reload the SG4 GUI. In IE10 or lower, follow the process mentioned below:

  1. In IE10 or lower, press F12 then navigate to Cache > Clear browser cache.

  2. Click Yes to confirm the clearing of the browser cache.



  3. Apply the setting Always refresh from server.
